Terrorist Chemical and Biological Production Familiarization Course

image1

Students are placed in the role of terrorists and are taught the fundamentals of chemical and biological agent production from small-scale non-state actor’s perspective. The equipment and materials necessary for small-scale production are covered. The various processes used to make the chemical/biological agents are reviewed. Students are given a series of practical exercises to reinforce the learning objectives. In their role as terrorists, students will plan to acquire the necessary materials, develop schemes for the production of their chemical/biological agents, and plan for the employment of their agents. The course culminates with one day of scenario exercises where students will exploit terrorist production facilities.

Advanced Terrorist Biological Production Familiarization Course

Advanced Terrorist Biological Production Familiarization Course is focused on the small-scale production of biological warfare agents. The course is designed to educate military CBRN technical personnel and first responders on the thought process, processing steps, and equipment needed to produce biological warfare agents. Graduates of this course will be able to recognize biological processes and the equipment. Additionally, students will be able to identify the hazards associated with the production of biological warfare agents.

Tactical Chemical and Biological Sampling Course

The fundamentals of chemical and biological sampling are covered. The various types of samples and procedures to collect those samples from a variety of matrices are taught. Protocols for sampling are discussed and then applied during practical exercises. Each student is tested on their ability to obtain a viable sample in a classroom setting and in a tactical setting while wearing all their combat and protective gear. Includes all sampling supplies.

Pre-deployment CBRN Training

Training is tailored to the unit, their mission, and the operational area they are deploying to. A planning package, with the Road to War and pertinent background material is provided 3 to 4 weeks prior to the training. The unit will deploy to the training area (home-station or pre-coordinated training site). The unit will receive mission orders and execute a series of situational training exercises, each with a specific set of training objectives. Each Situational Training Exercise (STX) will culminate with feedback from experienced observer-controller/trainers. The training will conclude with a full mission profile field training exercise that includes all mission critical tasks for the unit. Role players and realistic targets enhance the STX and full mission profile Field Training Exercise (FTX).

DR-SKO Application Training

Practical application of the DR-SKO equipment package at the unit level. The training will cover site characterization, initial entry operations, and CBRN reconnaissance and surveillance. Training will consist of one day of lecture and discussion on various techniques and procedures, followed by four days of practical exercises chosen by the unit leadership from a menu of tactical situations. Stimulants will be used to provide feedback to student while they are conducting operations.

Exercises

Scenario Design

We will review your requirements, missions, concept of operations, and current/projected threats to have a understanding of your needs and operating environment. The scenario will be developed and then socialized with the supported organization leaders to ensure it meets their needs and desires. Their feedback is incorporated into the scenario.

Facilitation of Table Top Exercises

VGI will provide a moderator who will facilitate the table top exercise (TTX ) to ensure it stays within scope and provides the information needed by the supported organization.
